Here is My SG Build Project Husk...

I don't do that. I have yet to own any guitar that gives me noise issues or grounding hums...lucky I guess.

If a need arrises then I'll do something...

Could be....I know when I was playing with Soloman Grundy, I was running two DSL40C's flat out, full gain (to compete with the bandleader's Marshall SLP) and my guitar was quiet, but it buzzed and hummed like hell before I shielded it....

Nah...only himself...

I have zero noise now...I can stand in front of a light dimmer, or PC at near full gain/volume and no even a hiss....I shield EVERYTHING now....even my Von Herndon Double Neck....
shown here partially shielded:

In fact, every guitar I built under the Von Herndon name was fully shielded as SOP...

Almost there...just need to solder in the pickups and string it up!

Pickups - Seymour Duncan 59's
Wiring - Toneman 50's Wiring Kit
Tuners - Hipshot Locking with Amber Buttons
Duesenberg Les Trem II

The pickguard is actually aged too, but show up whiter than it is...

Wow, that is REALLY NICE. Please keep this one

You likely know this and did it for preference, but usually, the screws in the neck pup are closer to the neck.
