the hell babe has a spring that returns it to UP (and off) then you push down and "clicker crackle" -- but its so noticeable it "blips" the signal to where you HERE it unles you strum and hit the "on" point at the same time -- but if you trip that point while say holding a single note -- there is a distinct click and tone change

My '70s Morley Power Wah is really cool.

Those are one of the coolest looking pedals to behold. Nothing could add more bling to your tone than those old Morley's… :dood:
