Hammett going GIBBO!?!?

He bought Gary Moore's ex Peter Green Les Paul a few years back...but Netallica has been recording with Les Paul's for quite some time, which can be seen in their documentary.

Honestly, when I think of Hetfield what I see in my mind's eye is that '73 Iron Cross Custom he used to play all the time. Utterly iconic.

Anyway, good move for Gibson, and peripherally I am sure, Kirk Hammett. Seems he has been playing Greenie more and more so why not jump on it? By law, Metal is supposed to be made with Les Pauls ;) (didn't you know?)

I do like my little Les Paul. For some projects it just has that certain something.

I'm eager to see what it sounds like with the new Planet Tone pickups and the 21 Tone Harness!!!

I have never associated a Les Paul with Metal music. A Flying V, sure, but never an LP.

Ehem,...I'll just leave this here

Sure, you may find one or two here and there, but as a whole the Metal community are not Gibson Les Paul players.

Not saying a Les Paul won't play metal, but it's not the flagship metal guitar!
