Hack Hacked into Hack and GOOD VIBES ARE NEEDED!!!!STAT!

Dave, from a lessons learned, do you want to share what happen so some us can learn and take precautions? And welcome back, hope the recoverer is outstanding.
lesson learned, table saws don't discriminate.
i was using a rip fence, like i have hunderds of times, this time the board jammed and kicked back.
obviously knocking my left hand into the blade.

power tools must not be taken for granted.
i've had many near misses, with saws routers, mowers, etc...
i reckon one gets complacent.
but luck sometimes runs out and my number came up.

but i'm still alive and hopefully didn't contract the corona plague from the hospital. o_O

So...would a push stick have saved you? I never like to use one, but if fingers are at risk I may start!

had a strange night.
when the nerve dope was wearing off and my arm started to get feeling back, i had odd sensations of hot and itchy in the arm.
then the pain started in big time.
pineapple and a percoset for breakfast...

It's certainly going to be very interesting in how you recover. Make sure there are plenty of pics and gory details... :dood:
greg, was just looking at what i can see of the hand, it's in a cast right now, they call it a splint.
the middle finger that got sawed thru seems to have a metal pin sticking out the end of the finger, as the tips of three fingers are exposed out the end of the splint. that must be to stabilize things while healing. so they saved that one it looks like.
the pin may get removed at a later time... not sure.
then i;ll get to discover what feeling and motion is lefto_O

When I crushed my left foot in a motorcycle wreck it had 3 pins in it to help stabilize it while healing.
If you see the pins then they WILL come out. OH BOY.

my thoughts are with you my friend.

thanks chas. yeah, that oh boy part has me concerned.
i'm sure it will be anything but fun.:cautious:
no one to blame but myself. i'm not mad at the saw.
i'm disgusted with me.
but in reality, my problems are pretty insignificant it the big scheme of things.
the sun will continue to rise...
