Did someone say guitar and beer?

I was recently rewarded by the local Beer Fairy, who also happens to be our neighbor, a Lagunitas beer that was discontinued a few years ago and recently revived for mass consumption. Holy caramelized brown sugar, Batman! I was quickly reminded about the punch this Imperial brown ale packs!! Taste and color properly compliments my LP and 5E3 clone… :cheers:

NOM. I'm not an IPA guy but occasionally will buy a sixer of Lagunitas Little Sumpin' Sumpin'. This Shugga brew looks much more up my street, as I'm more a brown ale/porter/stout guy. Given the good job Lagunitas does with Li'l, I will definitely look for this Shugga. Thanks!

Absolutely correct. It's a bit of a play on the location; the area of the town is called Glanerbrug (the bridge over the Glane, which is/was a tiny brook, more or less indicating the border between Germany and Holland). The beer is thus called "(a) blonde on the bridge". The church to the right of her is an actual church here opposite the shop that sells the stuff. They brew that one themselves, so they put that on the label. The actual bridge pictured no longer exists and hasn't for decades, maybe a century almost.

Cool, thanks for the response! Last November Mrs. Krashpad, la Krashpadita, and I visited Amsterdam (we actually stayed in Haarlem) for a week or so. It was nice to have some decent beer after having come from France, as the French seem genetically incapable of brewing anything worth drinking. Pic of myself and daughter whilst in Holland:

Hehe, how appropriate with the text on the glass...! The Dutch can brew some decent beer, the Belgians are the masters of the Benelux when it comes to that, though. If you ever visit, I think you might enjoy a tour of one the old monasteries/breweries. I have yet to try a decent French beer... and I do try all kinds of stuff:
