Guitars and BEER!

Newkie Brown"
NOM!

Also, WHAT?

Sorry, I think I lost some hearing just looking at that.

To keep on point, here is an out of date 2020 shot of the same driveway, mais avec du biere, as they say in France:

It's a little fuzzy, but I think that's a 12-pack of "Newkie Brown" (Newcastle Brown Ale, a/k/a "Broon" and "the Dog", 4.7 abv), albeit in a modernised export formula that's rather shameful compared its original recipe. Here's an updated 2022 shot sans beer and guitars, which, again has been outdated by various and sundry subsequent sales and purchases (the baby Vox (Valvetronix), MosValve, and Laney have been sold, and several other purchased):

I like Newkie Brown. I prefer local breweries tho.

Man, what a stunning collection of goodies!!! Nice to see them out getting played in their natural habitat too - clubs!!

You seem to like dark beers too, as do I. Red ales, brown, black, you can taste the roasted barley. MMmm mmm good.

Yep, definitely have a preference for darks with a bit higher abv. Stouts, porters, browns, reds, Scotch Ales, Imperials, Baltics... And I do like throwing some dosh to small brewers/locals. A couple weeks ago Mrs. Krashpad and I went to Cali for a long weekend to visit our daughter for her birthday, here's me in Sacramento:

I think my favorite Florida beer is one called "Hooter Brown," made by a house called Oyster City, in Apalachicola (it's still made by Oyster City, but I think they've contracted to have it also made by a bigger brewery in N'awlins for more distribution outside their immediate local area), 8.5 abv, like breakfast is a can!

So...... @Brian Krashpad ....... Let's see if I have this right. A different beer depending on guitar/amp combo? I like how you think. :cheers2:
You flatter me! I'm guessing it looks that way, but it's much more random, haha! Although I certainly have a go-to favorite beer, that's from just a few hours away up in the Florida Panhandle, and available at my fave beer store a couple miles from the house (though not at our nearest grocery that's even closer, anymore, unfortunately). But seeing photos with the same beer over and over would get boring, so I try to avoid that.

Fave beer/go-to, Hooter Brown, is seen in the prior shot of the goldtop Gretsch Pro Jet and the baby Vox amp (a Valvetronix 1x10 I've since sold, after having finally obtained a proper AC30). Here's another rig shot with the same beer, out in El Garaje:

I'll readily admit that those cans are not very photogenic, and in fact border on looking almost generic, but trust me, the contents thereof make up for their lack of comeliness! "Like breakfast in a can!" (y)

This past March spent a week on the FL Panhandle with my wife's siblings. One brother and three sisters. He and his wife were parked in a camp ground south of Port St. Jo and the rest of us (including a brother in law) rented a house on the beach on Cape San Blas. All that to say, on our way off the Panhandle heading south for a week in Venice to spend some time with a friend..... we stopped at the Pig in Apalachicola and picked up some Oyster City "Hooter Brown." Small world.

Wow, who'da thunk it! Mrs. Krashpad's family has been going to PSJ/CSB for literally decades. Her maternal grandparents, when they were alive, had a trailer at Presnell's for years, probably the same park you reference. My brother-in-law moved there from Jax a couple years ago, just a mile or two down the road from Presnell's and near the newer "Cat 5" (iirc) bar/grill. They have one of those GIANT luxury RVs and rent a pole-barn lot for it. When we've gone there for summer vacays over the past 20+ years, we rented houses, on the bayside out on the St. Joseph's Peninsula, along with Mrs. Krashpad's parents and her brother's family.

Here's a shot of my Casino overlooking St. Joseph Bay at one of those rentals, taken last summer.

And the world just gets smaller. You are correct. They parked their camper at Presnell's. I think this was their third winter. This time they were there for almost two months. Don't really have a good photo of the board walk from our rental to the beach. We were able to take our pooch and she had a pretty good time running the beach.

Been to the Blue Parrot on St. George Island.
Oddly I've never been to St. George or any of the islands east of the Cape. I have stayed at the Gibson Inn in Apalach, and eaten in its outstanding restaurant many times. Have also had a beer in the Oyster City brewpub in Apalach. Although I didn't have Hooter Brown there , since they had more exotic brews not available locally (In Gainesville, FL, where I live). Couldn't say exactly what it was that I did have, but I'm sure it was dark.

Brewer was closed for remodeling when we were there in March. Was going to be one of our stops.
