I still have both of my Silkyn amps and they have not blown up.

I took mine apart and as soon as I find my inner child I will think of something else to put off .

I really need to fix mine. I had so many projects that I forgot it. They have fantastic sound.
Grant how long did it take you to put the new power transformer in? I'm looking at 6 to 7 months.

I never heard of Silkyn amplifiers before. I must check out out some sound clips on YouTube to see how they stand the test of tone.

I did mine back in mid October last year. Think it took about 2 hours; took my time.
I did it before the old one failed to avoid any power filter cap damage.

I recall Kev really diggin' the clean channel; what you waiting for man?

Guy brought me an amp just like this a while back to fix a loose input jack. No markings of any kind anywhere. Full tube amp...

We don't have any rules against our members being part of other forums. Actually we encourage it. I'm a member of several forums for cars, photography, geek stuff and yes, even other guitar forums. A lot of great info gets posted here that was discovered on another forum, then shared here. Besides, we have to give Adrian a free rein to roam and explore, just like he does on his bike. There is just no way to hold him back.
