Just to add something constructive to this already provocative thread...

When this place was is the original planning stage, we wanted to target nice people that have a common interest in music... listening to music, playing music, enjoying music. All brands are welcome here, not just a Les Paul or SG or Strat. We don't cater just to guitar players only. Drums, keyboards, theremins are all welcome here. We do not discriminate. We invited people that we knew to join us here, people that we found to be good people. At first we had no rules because we thought that y'all were old enough to know how to play nice with others without someone telling you to play nice. For the most part this has been the case with y'all. There have been a few members that confused freedom of speech for freedom to abuse. These members are no longer here either by their own choice or by choice of TTR management.
All of you are this forum, it's you the members that make this place what it is.

You mention gators, and I think of my favorite movie...
I just went back to a couple of car forums that I used to frequent just to find them mostly deserted. I attribute that to them being focused on a particular model of car that is no longer being produced. I hope that this forum being based on musical tone and not any specific instrument, brand or model will help to influence the longevity of this online establishment.
