soldering couple years ago when i started building cabs for the first time..revealed have a depth issue in vision

had 20/20 until all the computer time & dispatching all day on small cell screens....

would be soldering & my tip would be like 2"s from what i thought was soldering...how i know? have a nice permanent weld mark on my left index finger..that ! helps with being able to slide on stings without pain..

I've always used one of two illuminated magnifiers when soldering. You can really see much more detail. Found em round 1980 in someone's garage and asked do you want these things, Nah trash them … I been using them to this day. I have one at my feet underneath the 'puter desk and one in the amp room. The one under the desk I use every day to read " The small print " which seems to get smaller every day especially if it's on a product from that " C " place!

AMEN to that I couldnt even read if the CLEANER I was attempting to buy today ACTUALLY KILLED GERMS or not--------the writing on the back was SOO SMALL--

I actually have to remove my spectacles to solder, read, play on here. Vision is dead perfect to the 2-3 foot range. After that it gets dicey.
