One of my favorite live bands I have had a privilege to see. 1990, DK's West Indies Bar, San Luis Obispo, Crazyfornia. Awesome band with a great rocking sound. Country Dick lived up to his reputation that night. Sloshing his beers at anybody that dared to be right at the front... Spasming out and flopping on his back while one of the bartenders are pouring some spirts into his pie-hole... Good times... :cheers:
 
The wifey was laid off (It should be temporary) about a month ago. A few days ago I helped her file for unemployment benefits by going online. Today I decided to check what our stimulus money situation is, and ended up registering for direct deposit. Whatever we get, we're planning to dump it right back into our local restaurants and pubs and tip very generously.
 
My wife Left the ER she worked at due to a no mask rule and a compromised immune system from Sjogren's which causes your immune system to go haywire and attack healthy cells instead of invading bacteria or viruses. Conditions like this are called autoimmune diseases, She's out on SMLA. After she high tailed out of there 2 other experienced ER workers left too. So far 6 newly hired replacements barely made 2 weeks each before disappearing. So those checks will come handy.
 
I was hoping mine would arrive by direct deposit with the disability payment this month. Nope. Am wondering about it since last year was the first in more than forty years that I didn't have to file taxes. But they have my records from the years previous.

IRS website says not to register for it if you receive SSD, so I can't check.

My bank says many have received theirs already. Hoping it will come without any action on my part. Waiting and hoping.
 
My wife told me we will receive a paper check since we have had to pay in the last couple of years versus getting a refund. I don't know if this is accurate or not. We will see.

Anyone that has their bank auto deposit info listed with the IRS will get an auto deposit. I did my taxes in early February with auto deposit. I always pay more through the year to ensure that I don't owe any at the end of the year. Kinda like and interest free loan to the IRS. Perhaps since I was one of the first to file my taxes and I already had an account set up for auto deposit, this may have been why we were among the first to get our auto depost stimulas checks.
 
It looks like I got mine. I have to do the math still, as I have recently grocery shopped heavily, bought beer, made a couple of annual bill payments, had to buy a chainsaw on a pole(to safely take down a leaning tree from a storm this past week...lots of fun, but it got done yesterday), collected an unemployment payment etc... But it looks like it’s in there. Next up...household bills.
 
None here … now have the next chance on Monday but my son ran up all excited when the site told him he'd have his on the 24th. Then he goes should I but a Midtown Custom ! I said you always know my answer so why ask? Of course you should especially the Japan only ones since their unique and were never sold in any other market, just Japan. But be prepared to lay out at least 2K and up used! Check em out on Ebay, see what ya think

well I PAiD in 2018 and I paid in 2019 -- and thanks to the "F": in governmental tax law changes -- I WILL PAY for the rest of my life--never will a refund be had (as long as I am "self employed"

so -- tell your wife I AM MEGA PISSED ( to the tune of thousands a year GOING OUT) AS WELL!!!! -- -

We can be PISSED together!

Dang Hank, I HAD a Midtown Custom back about 7-8 years ago. I often would have liked to have kept it, plus the SG I ultimately wound up with instead, but economics won out. If memory serves correctly, the Midtown was maybe $1150-$1250 used, and my SG was 1/2 that, so back went the Midtown and HOME stayed the SG.

Keep us posted if he gets one.

lovely thought but I doubt it happens---- I have not seen the 1st check----
My mortgage company doesnt even answer the phone -- but they still auto drafted the mortgage ----
not 1 CC company (all big names) that I have has allowed a covid "break" in pmt.....

thankfully that said our business is still open and we are still running--- WAY LESS SALES -- but Ive been able to assist in production and other things to keep employed-- but I get paid 80% of my income off commissions--- NO SALES going on means no $ and its tight now-- in 2 or 3 months it will be REAL BAD--
at present I am working for roughly 2008 level Min. wage scale----- but hey IM WORKING :)

and I dont qualify for loads of ASSistance ---- because they say -- HEY your WORKING-- go away -- and seem OFFENDED by my inquiry like I am trying to "get over " on them
