Gold Tops - Why No Gold Hardware???

I'd have to get the black plastic pick guard, myself. I'd be so afraid of scratching that gold guard.

Or maybe I'd get the all-gold model, and replace the guard with a black one, and store the original.

Funny how some things just don't look right to my eye....LOL

Like the black pickups....should be cream

Gold on the shiney black does look nice.

Thank you, Goo...

I bought the best quality hardware I could find...even gold plated screws. Mom is so excited...they really been through it lately...and to hear excitement in her voice over this is so good!

Thats a classy looking guitar. Most import guitars come with the lower quality metric hardware but uou can but really nice quality metric hardware and i like the metric large post bridges. The tailpiece studs are a little bigger than there American counterparts.

Yep! Even got gold plated screws and a gold plated aluminum tailpiece. All my guitars get an aluminum tailpiece.

Well, they say it's in the eye of the beholder. To my tastes, the gold/gold combo lacks contrast and depth, much like Joe Bonamassa.

I see your point on both issues....

I think when I look at it, I see the gold script on the headstock and the silver just clashes with my eye for some reason....????

The 50th Anniversary Customs were an explosion of gold:

I don't personally like zebras too much...but I love gold hardware and actually think it would look pretty bitchin' on that guitar. Double creams would be bada$$ as hell too.

I have most of the gold hardware already in stock...gold plated aluminum tailpiece, gold plated screws, gold plated brass jackplate, gold Grover keystones...I would need a Quick Connect Gibson Switch in Gold....as I plan to keep the PCB....
