Going under the knife; Pearly turns Lumy

OK, more like a screw driver and a soldering iron. Started the mod to Pearly, a 2010 PRS SE I bought earlier this year that had Pearly Gates SDs in her.

When I saw the red and gold trim Alumitone pups earlier this year I just knew a mod was heading my way. Of course that meant doing the gold bling change over, so it took me a while to get all the bling parts.

Got the tuners and bridge in so far. Of course the tuners screws were too small so I need to get some small gold screws. Forgot about the screw for the truss rod cover, so I need one of those too.

On to removing the electronics. I’ll see how far I get tonight as the wine was just opened

Now with some hardware. This is the stopping point for this evening. Those are ebony pup rings to go with the ebony board.

The entire electronics setup will go into another PRS SE custom 24 I have. They’re CTS push pull pots, a Switchcraft jack and an upgraded 3 way switch that the previous owner did the mods with. That will be after 2 other builds I have in the queue after I finish this mod.

DAYUM that's looking good. I remember seeing these pups a couple of years ago and they look perfect in that PRS! I like the dual concentric pots too! Looking forward to seeing and hearing this project when it's done.
