That makes me jealous. Would have loved to have a Challenger TA with the tri-power 340. Had some serious lust for that one.

I grew up with several MoPar's. I would buy clunkers and fix them up, moving up each time...

We put 440's in the TA's. Never liked the small blocks.
The only real "thing" about a TA was the rear sway bar. Other than that, the suspension was 100% stock R/T.
I was never a fan on any one car brand over the other.
When I was growing up I had a lot of different cars. Chevy's, Pontiacs, Olds, Fords, Cadillacs, even a few imports. But never a Mopar.
That all changed in January of 2017 when I got my first Mopar in my late 50's
Funny thing is, I didn't realize how much I really liked it, until I traded it for an Infiniti.
All of a sudden, I was driving another 4 door import, in a sea of 4 door imports.
I had lost my individuality and identity. I'm shallow, I admit it. It's all about image and pride of ownership.
So four months later, the Infiniti got traded for a new Mopar. I call it "The Eggplant"
All is well, once again. I can drive with my head held high.
So I guess it took around sixty years to make me a Mopar fan, but I just can't imagine driving any other car now.

I agree Wav. Ford, Chevy, Dodge did a pretty decent job making these “retro” pony cars look like the originals. Far more user friendly. 700 HP and still knock down mid 20s mpg vs 8-10 on a good day. I still think those 68-71 vintage cars are still way sexier.

The 396 was wicked in those actually! Mine was blue in fact when i first got it, real pretty medium blue. But the paint was cracking and fading bad, plus the interior was this hideous leisuresuit blue upholstery. I had it repainted GM Black and totally blacked out the interior with black vinyl seats, carpet, panels and dash with chrome trim. It was actually an SS clone

Oh yeah! The GS455 was a power plant! It was the buick version of the Chevelle "Heavy Chevy" 454. Really cool car!
