That makes me jealous. Would have loved to have a Challenger TA with the tri-power 340. Had some serious lust for that one.I've owned a 1970 Challenger and a 1971 Cuda.

I agree Wav. Ford, Chevy, Dodge did a pretty decent job making these “retro” pony cars look like the originals. Far more user friendly. 700 HP and still knock down mid 20s mpg vs 8-10 on a good day. I still think those 68-71 vintage cars are still way sexier.I love the original old school Mopar E bodies. The new retro versions are powerful but plagued with electrical problems. Here is my blast from the past...

Nice!!383 4 barrel
Yeah unfortunately those old cars had insanely small fuel tanks and massive appetites lol compound that with the 70s gas crisis and they quickly found themselves relics, which is heartbreaking. My Nova had roughly a 12 gallon tank and i could drive from my house to the next town of Beckley ( roughly 10 miles)and back and would lose just over half a tank of gas lol i put an edelbrock 600 4barrel carburetor and Edelbrock Performer high rise intake manifold with an oversized camshaft and that destroyed its fuel efficiency. Thats what, about 3.33 miles per gallon? Suck on that Greenpeace!
The 396 was wicked in those actually! Mine was blue in fact when i first got it, real pretty medium blue. But the paint was cracking and fading bad, plus the interior was this hideous leisuresuit blue upholstery. I had it repainted GM Black and totally blacked out the interior with black vinyl seats, carpet, panels and dash with chrome trim. It was actually an SS cloneMy friend had a blue Nova with the 396C.I. Quick car and the thing had weight like a feather lol..
Oh yeah! The GS455 was a power plant! It was the buick version of the Chevelle "Heavy Chevy" 454. Really cool car!My buddy had this very car in silver. In Canada the vette guys were complaining to GM, cause this car was kicking there... The Great Buick GS 1 455C.I. One heck of a car! Silver in colour with black bucket seats and interior with automatic with console shifter. This car was fastttt...
Gotta get some Cuda in too
