Thanks! I didn't record anything while the DSL was waiting for a new tube. It just didn't sound good with EL34s in it. Now it's good to go.That’ll get the job done.![]()

Sounds good Chris, but I am also a fan of no chorus on riff progressions , it works well with delay on solos, but I am also a convert, about 7 months ago I quit using the Vox Tone Lab, and all the FX it had to offer.I can buy an e-drum set for the same amount of money.

Well, it is Friday. This is just a rhythm riff that I am working on. @Ramo does it chug enough? BTW I have EZ Drummer and I can't do anything useful with it. I want to get one of the cheaper Alesis e drum kits to just put basic rhythm tracks together with.
See, this i like:I appreciate all you guys' input. However, that particular riff was developed specifically to use the chorus. I am trying to develop my own thing and do not want to sound like anyone else. Maybe it doesn't work when it isn't in person. I have one I am coming up with right now where I have the loop out of the DSL hitting the EQ and then right back into the amp. The second output on the EQ is going to the chorus, delay and reverb before going into the loop return on my JCM 900 on the opposite side of the room. It's really freaky cool sounding.
I bet that sounds fantastic in the room.I appreciate all you guys' input. However, that particular riff was developed specifically to use the chorus. Sounds like a pissed Marshall to me man , you are getting some great raunch out of that rig Chris
I'm not sure you guys are ready for this. Ramo might end up cracking and buy a Telecaster.
does it chug enough?

I do however, get aggravated personally, if someone critiques the sound. I dont mean audio quality because again, that can always be improved. But rather the tone I have.
Oh heck no. I was just jesting with Ramo about the chugs enough thing. I know it's hard to tell without the spoken inflections necessary with dry humor, but I tend to do it a lot. I don't really care if it chugs in this particular case if it sounds cool. So when are we going to get together so you can teach me some stuff? No offense intended Cadorman, I was going off your initial question, quoted above, where you ask if it chugs enough. I dig what you're playing, but was agreeing with Ram that it wasn't a "chug" tone and if that's what you were after, which I mistakenly assumed based on your question, offered advice how to get there. Sorry. I certainly wasn't meaning to be the guy "critiquing the sound".
Again, hope I didn't offend anyone...

Killer riff/tone and GORGEOUS finish on that guitar.

Your V has a bit more of a darker bark, but it sounds good and healthy to me ..
Check this out guys. It is exactly the same piece as the last one, but I switched guitars. The blueberry LP has an 8.65k Alnico2 pickup and the V has a 9.91k Alnico8. Everything else is the same let me know if you think it sounds any different.
I agree. I couldn't hear any difference on my phone. Just switched over to the laptop with the Presonus Eris 8 monitors. I definitely thought the Les Paul was a little brighter. I know more coil winds on the pickup darkens the sound, but I thought that Les Paul got a little brighter sounding when I put the S.I.T. strings on it a couple weeks ago. Other than that I can't tell a difference between these strings and the D'Adario NYXLs I have on everything else. I thought the V did have a little more grit and edge to it.Your V has a bit more of a darker bark, but it sounds good and healthy to me ..
Both clips are showing that Marshall has the balls you need to get the people moving there heads..
Cheers
Normally the V (in my case is a tad brighter than the LP’s) but my studio is the darkest of them, nothing wrong with either one of yours Chris, they can both get the task at hand complete ..I agree. Never, you guys should know by now, it will never happen, I promise you that. The V sounds better to me just because it a V.
