In honor of Mitch, I re-worked this track from yesterday, scrapped some stuff, wrote a bunch of new stuff and worked on the mix more.

That's pretty awesome my friend! Reminds me a bit of Carcass Heartwork-era

I've never been a Carcass fan, could never get past the vocals for some reason. But, you're not the first person to compare something I wrote to that album. Maybe I should go listen it - I'd probably like it. lol

Yeah im with ya on the vocals: Jeff Walker is a great lyricist and bassist but not not a great vocalist lol but yeah, check out Heartwork sometime if ya get the chancr. It made me rethink them as a band and definitely was a watershed moment in metal. Lots of melodic metal going on and very technical

I need to listen to Mikes reference, because it sounds like Iron 1 to me !!
Cheers

Listening now. In '93 I was huge into Possessed, Entombed, Pestilence, Bolt Thrower, Napalm Death, and all the thrash bands of the day. Pretty sure someone played this for me and I didn't listen again because of the vox. I started out as a speed/thrash metal singer in the late 80s, then ended up singing death metal before I started seriously playing guitar. So, I'm annoyingly picky about vocals. As in it's annoying to me how picky I am...

This guy's actually doing a great job on Heartwork, it's just not a style I dig. Some killer riffs though.

I'm very picky with vox too, most of the new bands sound poop and I cant listen to that even tho riffs are cool.

Yeah, I miss the days when metal singers were unique. Jeff Becerra sounded nothing like Tom Araya sounded nothing like John Connelly sounded nothing like Mille Petroza sounded nothing like Karl Willets... now so many of them are just churning out the same style...

to me it's all noise with new bands, I have a new singer coming in on Friday on band practice hoping he is good... back in the day they all sounded different and badass at the same time.

Thanks guys all of you, I have a doctors appointment today and I hope to be back at it soon ..
Cheers
Mitch

I got a buddy who struggles with gout, he has to stay away from dark beers. It triggers his.
Also turmeric, lemon juice, apple cider vinegar helps him a lot.
For what that's worth.
Hope you battle through it soon.

I have taken 2 of the pills they prescribed for me and the swelling is going down, I have been on the dark nasty tasting cherry juice, and a carpel tunnel brace. It’s working thanks, no beer though :(
