FRIDAY NIGHT RIFFS

I have taken 2 of the pills they prescribed for me and the swelling is going down, I have been on the dark nasty tasting cherry juice, and a carpel tunnel brace. It’s working thanks, no beer though :(
That cherry concentrate is horrible lol they thought i had gout on my foot years ago ( ended up being Extensor Tendonitis) and gave me Colchicine and said to guzzle that cherry poop. I would dump it into pure Limeade to make it drinkable and the colchicine crap, yeah i get how it works: might as well eat a case of ExLax lol

How you begin to feel better man!

It’s coming along, haven’t tried playing yet, but I also have an additional problem, I had been babying a bad Ujoint, and I broke the yoke, and right now I am having problems trying to get the part.
Toyota told me I have to buy the entire driveshaft front to back , carrier bearing and all ??
This is all I need, and nowhere to purchase it2CF6376B-B01C-4896-9A76-187FDD00E0FD.jpeg
I had to PM DOD from the MF to let him know that I will not be able to go and see them play this evening in Yucaipa!

Phone around to autowreckers. I used to work as a service manager. Spent a lot of my time on the phone trying to find parts no longer available from the dealer.

Not sure if it's still there but about 10 years ago there was a driveshaft shop in Phoenix that would have this. Maybe look for places that balance driveshafts and/or build them for racers.

Edit: A quick Google-Fu revealed they're still in biz: Precision Driveline.

Been thinking of finally adding vocals to the ever growing pile of songs I've written over the last 5 years and "releasing" them as an album. Came across this one while trying to decide what to put on said album. It was the first complete song I ever wrote with a 7-string and still one of my faves. I toyed with the idea of re-recording some of it as I have much better gear now and a far better grasp on recording/mixing with a DAW, but I'm concerned about losing some of what makes it cool, which often happens when remaking a song.

What do y'all think of it as is? Is the mix good enough or does it need further tweaking?

In my opinion, the first half of the song sounds like someone recorded a live band playing from a balcony. To me, drums sound a bit buried and it has too much reverb/echo for my taste. i think it needs solo too.

This is my opinion and I don't think my opinion is any better than anyone else's.

I can get Ramos point, the intro is like off in the distance, then it gains focus at 1:35 mark, then takes you on a journey, but I am no producer.
Good work regardless.
What is your opinion Iron1

Lol im up at 5am, on the road by 5:40, get on the job at 7am, leave at 5pm and home after 6:20pm if traffic doesnt get me. Today though i left the job and had to drive another hour in the opposite direction to do a drug test so it was over 2hrs home
F commutes, and moreover, F pissing in cups!!
Don't even get me started on that poop....
I don't sell my time or service to ANYONE who wants to try to tell me what I can or cannot do on MY time....

sounds a lot better, I don't know if it's a compressor or other effect but something is making the low-end rumble a bit tiny.

Yeah, after walking away yesterday then listening to it again this morning I think there's no saving it. Garbage in/garbage out: the original tracks just weren't recorded that well and all the post-production I'm capable of can't fix that. I love the song, but the recording just sucks.

Oh well, I'm trying to whittle down to about 12 tracks and have 16, so this makes 15. Ha. Thanks again for the input!

I wouldn’t call it garbage, garbage is the new Metallicas butchered songs I posted on MM and stirred the poop lol clearly I dont fit in there or here or anywhere, Im the weird one. Haha

Its good song, try master it and and to give more bass/punch on overall mix.

Im not neat picking on anything I just say what my ears likes to hear.

I don't think any metalheads fit in anywhere, so welcome to the misfit club. Ha!

And, no worries, I appreciate you being honest on what you're hearing. I didn't post it cause I wanted people to blow smoke up my tailpipe, but cause I trust y'all's opinions on these things.
