In honor of my new tuners! I cranked the TSL up to 4... This amp rips and I love it! I was all about swapping this Nazgûl out... already ordered a Black Winter pickup.... But it sounds great through this amp! Shoot!

Had an absolute day today.
Came home and swapped out the Nazgûl and popped in a brand new Seymour Duncan blackened Black Winter. Sounds wicked! I like it much better!
Anyhow here is some guitar abuse and whatnot, just working thru variations on this riff idea...

I do that same thing with many of the riffs I come up with as well. But they all seem to sound the same to me, guess I need to play more, and actually remember them a bit more, as used to do.

I did the same thing at one point - swapped my Nazgul for a Black Winter. I really, really wanted to love the Black Winter mainly due to the ridiculous amount of hype it gets. But, I pulled it back out within a week and sold it. There's this ice-pickey thing in the upper mids I just couldn't get past that dominated my tone. Once I really focused in on it, I couldn't unhear it.
I then went thru about 5 other pickups (Pegasus, Imperium - which I liked 2nd best, a Custom and a few others) before landing back on another Nazgul. It does pair extremely well with the Black Winter neck pup, just FYI. This is all in one of my 7 strings, though, so my mileage may have varied with a 6 stringer. Hopefully once you've lived with it a bit, you get along with it better than I did.
