What I like about shows from this era is the lack of "political correctness" in the writing: they often talked the way real people do and could make social commentary without bowing to the Permanently Offended in our society. Network television today is utterly unwatchable to me because it bears no resemblance to reality.

I can't remember the last time I watched network TV except for something like the Preakness.

Agreed 125% I canceled cable years ago --
When I lived in the Keys --12 YEARS AGO --I didn't have it at all -- internet -- netflix-- when I moved to the Fl Panhandle you didnt even have the OPTION of cable......Satalite dish was the ONLY thing to get a signal in Bonifay Fl. (IM sure that has changed now) --- they lost my $$$ years ago--

15 minute shows 15 minutes of ads ....no content and as you said NO HUMOR
