Factory Gibson Defect Thread:

When you think about that, it really isn't the fault of the guitar is it?
It is something you are experiencing or not allowing yourself to experience.
You just might need some inspirational sessions with a Guitar Whisperer broski.

Some awareness & mindfulness (listening to & controlling your inner voice) sound needed to free yourself back up to being open to the basic joy every guitar has to offer simply by it's designed nature.
I don't know exactly what your issues are surrounding the guitar but I think we can all agree, you definitely have them.

I don't blame the guitar for what it doesn't have. I just don't collect guitars for the sake of collecting them. No guitar I have ever played made me a more technically proficient player. Some guitars allow me to more effortlessly express myself when I encounter one that has that certain nuance...but that's a rare occasion.

I'm a very sensitive person. I pick up on things. I hear and feel things. I see and hear things in slow motion.

I'm a very, very happy guy. Every day of my life is a joy. Only my Gibson SG has troubled me, but that's ok...it's in the past...

Had some fun at Guitar Sinner....

They have a 2016 Les Paul Custom in stock. I have played it. Not great, not horrible. Has some scratchy pots, high tailpiece, etc...not the end of the world, but enough that I didn't want to pay $3,499 on sale for it and have to fix issues right away...anyways, i was playing my replica, and one of the guys there I have become friends with thought it would be fun if we pulled a couple of sales guys in for a blindfold comparison.

3 guys played both guitars blindfolded. 2 thought the replica (still with Epiphone Probuckers in it) was the real deal, and the third correctly identified the real LPC, so the replica must be a fairly decent piece.

Played a nice Gibson today. 2016 Gibson Les Paul 50's Tribute in satin black. Big neck. 498T. It was surprisingly nice!
