F OFF 2021

I thought 2020 was worse. The major bad thing this year was losing the cat, Loki. He was a fun one. First cat I've ever seen who likes Gin and Tonic, and Bloody Marys.

Work just plain sucked, and I had a new job lined up until the HR department at the new company screwed everything up and wouldn't match my benefits as promised by the national service manager. He called last week to ask me to resubmit my resume, and they have everything worked out to give me what I want. We'll see how that goes.

Work did send me to Germany for a few weeks to hang out in the same room as the adults. It was more of a political move to appease other people, but I benefitted by spending time with many friends and family while I was there. Otherwise, I would not have been able to fly over due to the current state of things.

The wife got her new hip two weeks ago, so hopefully, this year I won't have to listen to her complain.... as much.

I also finally found a nice ES-335 this year, and did some other fun things.

Got a few projects done on the house, but still have quite a few to go.

Personally, I think I have my Scheisse a little more together going into the new year, but am just not ready to see my 60th birthday in a little over a month. Would have preferred 2022 would have stayed away a bit longer. Won't be flying anywhere on my birthday, but I hope I'll be able to go to London the week before. The way it's looking, I may have to get a refund on my tickets if the show goes on, but I can not get a flight over.

Also, the older I get, the less I like to wish time fly or go away. I want to hang onto as much of it as I can.

Neither 2020 or 2021 were very good, but I still can't complain. A couple of terrible things happened, but some good things happened as well.

My grandma passed at 97 after a good, long, happy and healthy life. It was sad but expected and she was ready to go.

I got a new job with a big pay raise. Bonus is I love the job!

My wife and I are both healthy. Our kids and grandkids are doing great and so are the rest of our relatives.

I'd like to see this virus run its course so we can get back to some sense of normalcy.

Korea is on complete lockdown again and my wife has not seen her mom in over two years. She may never get to see her again if things don't change.

I hope everyone has a healthy, happy and prosperous new year!

I feel for everyone with personal issuesmthe last year or 2. Other than the bizarre current environment we live in, I cannot complain on a personal level at all. We are both healthy as are my folks and siblings. That's the main thing to me.
Sorry for those that had such a terrible year, especially Grant as it seems he got it bad.
Let's get 2022 on track!!
