F**k Cancer

They are releasing my daughter today. They are waiting for the results from the biopsy and planning on placing a port in her to apply the chemo drugs directly to the the affected areas.

Sorry to hear she has to endure this. Was she in the hospital for a while? What did they find?

How's your daughter doing, emotionally and mentally?
 
The doctor is 99% sure it is cancer. She is putting up a strong front, stronger than me. The results will be in on Tuesday and that is when they plan the first chemo treatment. I'll be flying out there in two weeks.
 
Just a word of encouragement, Wav. If it was caught early enough, prognoses for colon cancer are usually very good.

Most of you I have never met in person, however I feel like I know most of you better than anyone I am associated with off line. This has been a very tough past few days for me. I've haven't had much time to participate in this place, play a guitar or do much else than hurt, worry and make plans to go see my daughter. Thank you so much for your kind thoughts!

My daughter got the biopsy results today and as I have feared, she is stage 4 colorectal cancer.
