Many of you have expressed your concern about my daughter Charlene. My ex-wife was with her last week and here is what she said...
Hello Family, Friends and Everyone.... here is update on my daughter Charlene. After arrival in Spokane, Char was in a horrible nursing home and getting weaker and sicker. We got her admitted back into Spokane Valley Hospital. However, the news is not good and the situation is grave. Char had pneumonia again, a UTI, a rectovaginal fistula, and the cancer is spreading fiercely and aggressively. Charlene has been given many antibiotics to fight all of the infections in her body which is working. But due to all of this, Charlene has not been able to undergo any Chemo as it would now kill her. While in the ER, we were finally provided a prognosis. Under normal circumstances, if Charlene would have been able to keep going thru Chemo, with no set-backs, no sickness, no infections, she might have been looking at possibly 2 years to live. We were first told she might have 6 months to a 1 year to live. Then after an ultra-sound and more tests 11/01/17, her oncologist firmly believes Charlene may have possibly 2 months left to live or less. Charlene has had to endure so much in such a short amount of time since 08/12/17, and she is very scared, but she has also accepted her outcome with grace and strength. And we have all cried very, very much. Tomorrow afternoon 11/03/17, doctor is going to perform surgery for a colostomy to give her comfort and dignity, and maybe to be able to sit in a wheelchair and have some resemblance of a life. However, we could also lose her on the table. Once recovered, she will be transferred to a Nursing facility, and when her time comes, to a Hospice facility. If any of her friends or family here in Washington and Idaho wish to see her, she is currently in Room 328. We wish to ask everyone to keep praying for her during this very difficult time. May God Bless Charlene and Bless all of you as well. Thank you.
