Twice now within a month, I have made an online purchase just to get ripped off. The first item was a OBD2 Bluetooth module so I can run diagnostics on my car from an Android unit. The price was almost 1/2 the going price. Estimated shipping time was 1-2 weeks due to covid. After 2 weeks I sent an email to the company requesting tracking information to get shunned with no reply. I filed a dispute with Paypal after another week and they are waiting to get a response back from the seller. It's gonna be yet another 2 weeks wait to see if they do hear from him. I've already been waiting over a month.

Last night I ordered vitamin supplements with a scratch and dent price almost 1/2 the going price because the labels were scratched according to the online pictures. This morning I receive a tracking number from UPS stating that the package was delivered on the 5th of June. Hmmm, I ordered this on the 10th of June. Is this guy psychic? Does he have a time machine? I sent him an email this morning informing him that he did not provide me with the correct tracking number and he replied that he would check into it. What? Check into what? All he had to do was send me the correct tracking number! By this afternoon I still had not heard back from him so I filed a dispute with paypal. I just received this reply back from Paypal...

Fratagen78 has escalated this problem to a claim and we are reviewing the information they provided. Most claims are resolved within 30 days, but it may take longer.

What is there to look into? PayPal can see that they received my payment on the 10th. PayPal can also see the tracing number that shows the package being delivered to a front desk, the name of the person that signed for it all on the 5th, 5 days before I bought this!!!!!

Moral to my story is, if the price is too good to be true, it is too good to be true!

If it makes you feel better, Wav, I do carpentry and am self employed. Having worked 30+ years and almost never making it above $0 at the end of each year, my house has been robbed at least twice, my equipment and some car parts, propane tanks and other valuable stuff has been stolen from my yard, and one day a couple years ago now, I went home to retrieve my ladders to work on the roof of my girlfriend's house and to clean gutters etc. What do I find? MY ladders, gone, my aluminum brake gone, my 24 foot walk board gone. Like $3000-$5000 to replace all that stuff. Stuff I use to put food on my table all gone to poop chute DRUG ADDICTS or if it was for Construction guys, THEY ARE WORSE< Stealing from a fellow nail pounder. Good luck on getting your cash back, Ebay/paypal is usually good about getting you your money.

A lot of the problem "is" paypal.
The customer service is a joke.
I just tell them I won't wait 2 weeks.
Then I file a dispute with Visa and refuse to pay.
Waiting 2 weeks is just another paypal stall tactic.
But, call the postmaster general.
If you order something, and don't get what you order, that's mail fraud.
Call Visa and refuse to pay for it. Screw Paypal.

my brother that is the reason i avoid that kind of people when price way good to be true. i rather pay extra and get the item i want. im looking to buy a new phone its going around £730 more or les but some websites they sell it for £550 £600 mark when i looked into a lot of people were pissed off with them. so ill buy phone from the shop were its less likely to be fake and if i have problems ill go back in a shop and they usually sort it out if you buy fro the reputable shop.

scammers are everywhere, they should have some sort of law to punish this c****ts..

good luck my brother i hope its sorted soon.

That seems to be going around, I've been waiting a month for a couple of rolls of RC airplane covering. The dude wont answer my emails and ebay tells me they have until the 16th to respond and then it could be 48 hours until a refund is issued.....

I had to re-read that several times because I kept seeing:

shoot DRUG ADDICTS

Sucks all the way around.
Stealing peoples retirement funds, or a mans work tools is an especially despicable form of douchebaggery.
In some cases I would generously give some of my things away, even install them for free.

Hope you get refunded quickly Grant.

Not scammed, but recently I purchased an expensive amp on Reverb, as it was a good price (too good to be true???, close). Waited a few days and no email from the seller. Over the course of 10 days I sent 4 emails and got no response. Finally requested a refund and Reverb did that the next day.

I was going to say these same things, Ampmad. All except in my case, I have no Visa, No Mastercard etc.

I did call my credit union and I will be driving in to fill out a dispute against the merchant (PayPal) today. There is no reason that I should wait to get my $100 back when it is obvious that there is no way I could have received something 5 DAYS BEFORE I made the purchase! This money came out my my checking account, not on a credit card.

Grant, Any Idiot ought to be able to see the logic of your chronological impossibility argument.
