Twice now within a month, I have made an online purchase just to get ripped off. The first item was a OBD2 Bluetooth module so I can run diagnostics on my car from an Android unit. The price was almost 1/2 the going price. Estimated shipping time was 1-2 weeks due to covid. After 2 weeks I sent an email to the company requesting tracking information to get shunned with no reply. I filed a dispute with Paypal after another week and they are waiting to get a response back from the seller. It's gonna be yet another 2 weeks wait to see if they do hear from him. I've already been waiting over a month.
Last night I ordered vitamin supplements with a scratch and dent price almost 1/2 the going price because the labels were scratched according to the online pictures. This morning I receive a tracking number from UPS stating that the package was delivered on the 5th of June. Hmmm, I ordered this on the 10th of June. Is this guy psychic? Does he have a time machine? I sent him an email this morning informing him that he did not provide me with the correct tracking number and he replied that he would check into it. What? Check into what? All he had to do was send me the correct tracking number! By this afternoon I still had not heard back from him so I filed a dispute with paypal. I just received this reply back from Paypal...
Fratagen78 has escalated this problem to a claim and we are reviewing the information they provided. Most claims are resolved within 30 days, but it may take longer.
What is there to look into? PayPal can see that they received my payment on the 10th. PayPal can also see the tracing number that shows the package being delivered to a front desk, the name of the person that signed for it all on the 5th, 5 days before I bought this!!!!!
Moral to my story is, if the price is too good to be true, it is too good to be true!
