We are moving into a new house. I am downsizing. I'm selling off anything that isn't 24.75" scale....
Even the '87 Squier?
thats what I LIKE--- a little variety baby life is shortWhen I pick up a different scale/radius, it just feels so awkward and foreign,

YEs...but you can play -----I suck so all that stuff doesnt matter same guitar for 20 years or 100 in 20 days--- still sounds likee
at least I am consistent!
...there are a series of what I call "Bends In The Blind" where you bend a string in complete silence and estimate the correct pitch by the tension, then you pluck the note and release

nice new avatar Gasket---when you sending me that Jazzmaster?
That's called a "pre-bend" or, more completely, a "pre-bend and release."
Best player in my family, my son. Takes him 30 seconds to adjust between guitars.
Next best, my wife. She just plays whatever is in her hands, you actually have to tell her the neck is wider or the scale length is longer, she just gets on with it.
Bottom of the tree. Me I'm like Robert in that I notice and take way too long to adjust.
Conclusion, ability and adaptability aren't linked.
