Down Tuning or Drop Pedal Which is Better?

So let’s just say you went to a Halloween party and me and my wife came dressed like a cockroach and a butterfly for example.
Would you stay?

Oh. And let’s say, as a non specific example, everywhere I went in the party. I left some relatives behind.

Would you run and scream like a little girl?
Hey, if you've got the chick who's place is it to criticize right?

If you were alone in that shot I think then we might wonder. Especially with selfie evidence.

Lol.

I would love to have 80s Jackson…. Why didn’t you think of me back then to get it for me ha? Call yourself a friend and you didn’t even think of me….:io:
Were you even born yet? And, you really expect me to have ESP? :rolf:

Lucky to still have brain cells. :pound-hand:

If I did, I certainly would have a few nice beach front houses from all cash I'd have manipulating lottery results. Or other market matters.

Am I getting any closer? ....

I don't own a pink one, but then it's not easy being green.

You should have said Ramo will be born he will hate tele radios and let me do the right thing and set him straight on righteous path. He is my friend he likes me I like him and we hi 5

I have used the DigiTech drop pedals, the single button pedal as well the one dime used to use, the whammy pedal. Both are fun. Both drop to lower tune no problems.
But I always felt I could hear a digital square bit kind of thing going on with them. It also made me feel like I was just cheating. I sold them both off.
I just keep different guitars in each tuning and that's just what I go with. Certain guitars sound better or worse in a given tuning, so I let the guitars decide
what they like and just string and tune them accordingly.
I've been laughing so hard, and I honestly totally forgot WTF this thread was about till this post! But this post also got me thinking... Why don't I take one of my guitars and leave it tuned to C#? I'm a strictly 10-46 gauge player... always in standard E. I could easily bump up to 11-48's? 10-52's?

Yep! 10-52s are a really easy transition from what you're already using, as you don't notice any difference in the 1st to 3rd strings but get a nice boomier sound from the 4th to 6th. Plus, in C# they feel like 9s in E Standard, so no sloppiness.

Now...this is as close to back to on track as this thread will ever get lmao so commence derailment into hilarity again in 3, 2 1....

Yes!
I personally really like the skinny top heavy bottom Ernie balls, 10-52 still easy to solo, but stay pretty tight for speed chugging.

When you hear the 10-46’s in C#
You will never think to go with the heavier string’s, with my faded SG it was like I was Iommi, (but without the talent) lol trust me I did do the 11-54’s in the same tuning, and still have a couple of Strats with those strings, but I went back to my old reliable 10-46’s ..

Cheers

I know what you're saying. I tried that on my old SG and I heard some of Iommi's tone too. It was a bit frustrating to keep the guitar in tune. Perhaps with new strings only tuned to C#, will the tuning be a bit more stable... :hmmm:

I have to think it will be more stable,, mine are old (and need changing) but they would be more stable if first tuned to C# then kept there,,
My belief anyway ..

Cheers

Scale length effect how the strings feel also. I noticed that on a couple of mine.
