Does anyone gig with one guitar

I used to at first, then I thought I better carry a second for backup, just in case.

I have a rack that holds 4 guitars and use two guitar amps we get over a million cruse ship people a year and some famous players
want to get on stage and show off

I always brought two, at a minimum, or three(usually).

Things do go wrong, and not just broken strings. I lent my bass to Johnny Thunders one night when his bass player's axe quit during soundcheck.

Only “gigging” I’ve ever done was worship team. In about 10 years of playing once every 4-6 weeks, I only played electric a few times. Otherwise it was always acoustic.

I only have one acoustic and by default…. That’s all I took. Never had an issue.

I always take 2. Maybe 3 depending on the set list, usually the 12 string is #3.

The last gig I was at, (last week) I only brought one guitar, but that was a short gig at a local veteran's home and we were only scheduled for an hour. Our set list really didn't require a guitar swap.

However, in this new band, I usually bring two guitars. In the old band I brought three.

Yep…always had a backup…two guitarists in my band…always brought a spare head. My Tiny Terror was an excellent fill-in for that duty. It could be plugged in to whatever, was loud enough, and pretty darned easy on the back at 2:30am…

I use a pedal amp now as backup. Got in at 3:20 this AM so that was enough to haul

I've had one tube amp failure, which resulted in a gimped output. Finished the gig with a limp.
So far with a Kemper I've been good, but I do have a backup.

I had to finish last set once with buddy's old first gen PV Bansit. TSL 122 combo lost an output tube. Never again.

Yup... Same happened to me, a dud output tube. Love the amp, still have it but it pissed me off.

Back in 1986 our band went on tour both my amps failed had to air fright a backup also that tour life is not for me
