I usually write my own, but I "borrowed" this progression from somewhere
and made the drums (Steven Slate 5 sequenced) and bass backing track.

Yeah but I never intend for them to be backing tracks as such, they're song ideas. They are also not the quality of yours.I usually write my own, but I "borrowed" this progression from somewhereand made the drums (Steven Slate 5 sequenced) and bass backing track.

I'm trying tobteach myself to recognize chord progressions by ear but there's room foor improvementTechnically, it's I V IV, E B A

Nice! I suddenly feel like I should learn this arrangement
I've been slowly making some backing tracks of my own: I transcribe by ear with Musescore and when it's done, I import that into Reaper to be played by VST's. The one I finished and posted here was Ample Bass P Lite II for bass, MrRay22 for Rhodes and MT-PowerDrumKit 2 for drums.
It's quite tedious work and I try to be as accurate as possible... I guess it also doubles as ear / sheet music reading training at the same time, and it kind of feels more fulfilling than just reading etudes from books.
Neither can I, I just don't record them. I play a lot of tunes without words. Its weird..record a lot..a whole bunch , basically a full song a week, but can not do a song without words
ahh man can i relate !! So cool you play tho..it is what keeps us going i think at times !! I would have no way to express myself & diffuse all the madness around meBecause of my arthritis I'm stuck at home a lot of the time, I can't play as well as I used to, but writing and playing keeps me sane... ish.![]()
