DAW / Interface / Plugins and other Magic

I might do that in the future. I might wait for Black Friday on that. I was thinking easy drummer 3 upgrade. It sounds like a good idea for what I'm doing. Not like I need pro sounding drums with my little songs.

I feel that exactly. Not sure if I would use all of the features in Superior and for sure would slow work flow.

I now having a working knowledge of mixing, enough to hack my way through.
Plenty of good software. Drums have always been an integral part of writing for me. Some of those metal drum tracks are just to intense. I appreciate their ability but songs need some heart and laying back a little goes a long way. I have to catch myself on that very idea with guitar.

I do have a little piece I put together. I don't always use EZ drummer. For this one I grabbed some loops from my DAW. I will finish up later.
You may be misunderstanding but Supurior doesn't require any configuring. It's the fact that you can do whatever you want to if you ...want to.

The immediate advantage is perfect sound out of the box, unlike EZ. If you want to add a compressor you can ...tilt a mic you can ...add/removed a bunch of effects you can. That's all I way saying. There no secret treasure map that comes with the software that requires you to hike and seek to earn adding in a awesome drum set and configuration. It's ready to go just as EZ in that way.

Just the initial cost of the upgrade.
I posted:
" I am thinking I have spent a couple thousand dollars over the past 2 years to present.Of course several guitars, amp and various odds and ends like Pickups and software."

I understand. The statement before was "there is more stuff to mess with". I get you don't have to.
I like " good out the box."

@Sapient , Just when I think they are all the same except UA, There is the (drum roll) Zen Go Synergy. What is that you ask? Magic by Antelope Audio. 64 bit AFC.

That’s an interesting little mixer. It looks like a competent interface, with 8 channels in and 4 channels out via USB C. It even can record the main mix to an onboard SD card slot…very nice for a small format, portable mixer. Resolution is nice, capable of 24bit/96kHz. I’m not seeing any camera integration stuff, so not sure how that all would work, but that’s not really my thing anyway.

It works through the OBS software and hdmi port. I watched a video about it. You have to set it up.

Quite a production. The mixer I posted is not nearly as ambitious. More than I would need.
The Antelope , could it be designed for live feeds? May be why it needs internet.

That little mixer (that you linked to) has room for outboard preamps. It can record up to 8 mic’s with outboard preamps(2onboard, and 6 outboard), or an extension mixer.
Gonna watch that video now…

Yeah…the mixer doesn’t handle any video. It only handles audio in this scenario. It looks pretty slick, but also looks like other competent mixer interfaces could fit into the kit. What appears to be needed is a proper video interface…my computer lacks a HDMI input…I have two outputs. I’m not into the livestream thing, but I can appreciate the effort put into the production. A good tool is a valuable tool. :dood:

It is HDMI then on his laptop? But routed through the DAW/OBS software.

So, your search is for a regular, non-internet supported mixer with at least 12 inputs?

This one has more ports. I don't even need 8. I wish I had a use for it.
@ibmorjamn - What about a Mackie Mix-8???
