damn good bassin'

Yo Adrian, I posted this elsewhere, but it fits here too.

Don Brewer had some of the sickest drums and Mel's bass sounds from way back in the late 60's influenced me from then on.

The late, great Jimmy Dewar was such a tasteful player, and a damn good singer to boot.





Then there's Gerry McAvoy, who was very underrated and highly overlooked. It was his bass chops that allowed Rory to be so awesome all the time.




He ain't the prettiest player, but he'd come at you like a squadron of Henkel HE111 Bombers. That's good enough for me.
