Both my son and grandson are still in the hospital. I too hope the police get that scumbag!

I recieved a copy of the police report today for my collision and it states that the tesla driver was drunk and the cause of the collision. He told the cops that he was eastbound at the corner making a right turn when the collision happened. Police reviewed the camera footage showing him actually going southbound at the intersection through a red light hitting my car. He was indeed arrested for drunk driving.

Best wishes Grant. I'm happy that none of you are more seriously hurt than the current state of things. I hope any pian in the ass stuff clears up quickly and efficiently. Hope that all of you regain your health and the rest of the year will be trouble free.
 
4 months have passed, I have a new car paid for by my insurance and I'm seeing specialists for my issues such as limited neck movement with pain and rice crispy sound at the limit of movement. I have tinnitus in my left ear, pain in my left hip. I think perhaps the plethora of airbags caused the concussion and tinnitus, the airbag in the driver seat affected my hip. Both hands are damaged from where I was gripping the steering wheel and I have an appointment to see a neurologist next week. There are other aches and pains but these are the major issues.

The drunk driver's insurance has accepted liability. Between the other driver being arrested for DUI and the Tesla cam footage as well as the street corner camera, there is no doubt about who was responsible. My chiropractor said that this may be persistent. Once we get all of the doctor's result and prognosis, my lawyer will make a demand for payment. Since the accident I have not had one pain free day.

Sorry for the lasting effects on your health Grant. I am happy for the progress though.
 
Status update... I am still going to physical therapy once a week and chiropractor once a week. My lawyer has been waiting to see how my healing process is going and on Monday he sent Tesla insurance a demand for policy limit which we believe the owner of the Tesla had $250,000 coverage.

So far I've had $74,802 in medical expenses and $51,703 in property loss. Totaling $126,505 in financial losses. This does not count time lost from work. Tesla insurance has until Dec 12 to cut a check or my lawyer will be filing a lawsuit against the owner of the which is the father of the jerk that hit me. In a way I hope that they do not cut the check as my lawyer has a history of winning big in cases similar to mine. See the attached snippet from my lawyers demand letter...

If they send a check by Dec 12, my lawyer gets 33% off the top. If it goes to trial he takes 40%.

If we accept the settlement, the insurance company pays. If it goes to trial, the owner of the car that hit me will be responsible for the payment.
 
Shewie, Grant. And to think of all the other stuggles, injuries, medical conditions, brother in law, Zoning, abusive work place treatment, diabetes, etc that you have endured even prior to this.

I wish you nothing but the highest compensation legally available in order to do as much as possible to heal and sustain you in light of the ramifications of the drunk.
 
My brother, i sympathize with you. You guys literally watched me decline and listened to all that music made after the DUI guy creamed us & my ex is basically brain dead with a neck that will never be right again.

Only reason i can deal, is my faith,

Grant I pray all will be well. I do understand & the fight after being wronged to even fight for your entitlement is such a battle it takes a piece of you away at times. Honestly still picking up pieces all these years later
