I can't be the only one with this issue. My hands get dry, cracked, and sore from hard work...the winter contributes even more. And now with covid, I constantly add hand sanitizer.

Needles to say my hands are shot. The one thing that makes my hands feel nice again is O'Keeffe's .

The problem is, after i use it, I can't slide my hand down the neck of a guitar.....or use a pool stick. it's almost like i have wax on.
Now I have to wait until I go to bed to apply it, just so I can enjoy guitar and pool. But, my hands suffer all day. I've tried a few other cures, but so far they don't help my hands or the sticky situation. I don't want to spend $10 at a clip to find what i need.

Does anyone have a cure?

Go to Bath & Body Works. They have men's lotions now. Their lotion is the best and you'll smell good. This stuff...

I use coconut oil a lot. The stuff you get in the grocery store. It's a semi solid but melts as soon as you start rubbing it in. Skin will soak it up but it will still be slick for a while. It can be used for a guitar neck lube.
Use it at night and wear nitrile or latex gloves to bed for healing and during the day, just use it as a lotion. There are no petroleum products in it that make matters worse in the long run.
Also a great all natural lube for many other uses!

Maybe you could use a basic hand lotion before playing, or wash the okeefes off, then apply again it when done, or for the overnight.
