Tonight at a gig, a long time fan gifted one of my band mates with a Carvin CC275 guitar.
I'd never heard of this model, and had to look it up when I got home. I can't travel with my partners
any more, because I'm taking care of my lady love through a serious illness, but I played with them
this evening. It was a short range gig. *grins...
Libby wasn't expecting to be given two guitars this evening. She and David left the venue
tonight (The Flushing Michigan 'Riverview Park Concert Series') and are going far far north,
into the Michigan U.P. and into Northern Wisconsin, but I came home. I'm not going on that
tour. Libby asked me if I would take the two instruments home, so they didn't have to haul
them in the minivan. I was only too happy to comply. *smiles
She didn't realize what a guitar slut she was handing her gifts off to.
In my experience, women often don't understand this kind of OCD. They have their own...
Anyway, here's the Carvin:

Neck-through mahogany body, mahogany wings attached top and bottom, figured maple top,
Ebony fretboard with MOP 'eagle" inlays... L.R. Baggs "ribbon piezo" pickup... introduced in
2001. Sperzel locking tuners, gold hardware.
Anybody know anything about this model, or have any experience with them?
I don't... but my curousity is aroused. When I got home this evening, I put a 9V batt'ry
in it and plugged it into my trusty Orange Micro Terror. I thought this rig sounded
pretty good. I believe I saw one offered online for about $750 US... But the CC-275
might be worth more.
