can't find a glossary here so can't figure out what quoting a post means

That be it (hence part of my title), tripower.

Thats a hellacious engine. Absolute monster. I had 72 Nova that was cloned to an SS, that had an L30 327 from a 69 Vette that was incredibly powerful, a massive improvement over the original and meager 307. Roughly 300HP stock before changing the intake, carb and cams. But it wasnt close to the L68 by any stretch lol that was roughly 400HP stock but allegedly a lot more. Chevy was sandbagging for insurance purposes

I don't get it. What is the point? Seems like it just does a cut and paste but why would anyone want to do that to my posts?

It's for answering to individual posts without having to make multiple rplies.

So that you know I am speaking directly to you and you get an alert to alert you about it.

Exacltly, and being able to respond to others when several posts have some sort of conceptual continuity, and you would like your reply to be in the same manner.

Its a great tool to answer multiple people at once as well. Instead of individually replying to each comment and making a thread really long, you can insert multiple quotes and respond to everyone you wish at once, usually about the same topic of course lol

As Mike said, not have a million responses cluttering a thread. Until Adrian gets ahold of it,of course.

Yeah there hasnt been one single thread that stayed on topic for more than 7 posts that I can ever remember lol it eventually comes back around though

Don't forget that Adrian is sailing this ship. :pound-hand:
