Calling Ramo........Ramo................HEY RAMO!

I played for 30 years before I found a tele shaped object with magic in my hands.

I will never be without one by my side again.

Was it love at first sight?

To me that guitar looks like someone started a project and half way got bored and lazy.

when he was bored
, he zapped the headstock into weird shape, like barber misses the-line-and takes off more then he meant to.

wish you many happy twangy years with it :)

Part of the appeal of a Tele [for me] is it's simplicity. Both in design and function.

I think Fender agrees with you, or at least 1950s consumers. The Tele was often referred to as a "boat paddle " and a "toilet seat with strings". After years of success with the Tele/Esquire, the Strat was invented as a more stylish option to compete with the Les Paul

I’ve even given tele’s a fair shot. I don’t jive with them at all. Like Ramo said, too boxy and plain for my liking. I get that people absolutely love them so I’m not going to poop all over it, and they are fine guitars objectively speaking. They just don’t inspire me. If I comment on someone getting a new tele on here I’m happy they got a guitar they like and inspires them, I’m excited that they are excited. New gear day is always exciting and fun and I refuse to be a downer on that.

Now a weight relieved les Paul... now we are talking!!!

From wikipedia on the topic of Solid Body guitars:

"The first mass-produced solid-body guitar was Fender Esquire and Fender Broadcaster (later to become the Fender Telecaster), first made in 1948, five years after Les Paul made his prototype. The Gibson Les Paul appeared soon after to compete with the Broadcaster."

For that reason alone, it will always get cool marks from me. Its a legend and an icon. Without that, forget the Les Paul, Strat, SG, Flying V, Explorer, Jaguar, Firebird etc because they would've never gotten off the ground had there not been a kick in the ass to the other companies and designers

Wikipedia is wrong. The Esquire and Broadcaster were introduced in 1950. Just sayin'.:oops2:

And Let's not forget that not everything was as successful as the Tele. The Les Paul never sold in great numbers and was discontinued in 1960.

The Flying V and Explorer were dismal failures. They only made something like 100 of each in their debut year of 1958, and did not even sell all of them. That's why the original '58s are so valuable; because it was the only year they were made, until they were reissued many years later.

So what's my point? I have no Idea. :pound-hand:

He didn't stand that way the whole set, that was just a moment when I was able to snap a clear picture lol

Here's Christian, the other guitar player. Is this redeeming at all? Look! It's a Jackson V!

WE all know he did, stop defending him. lol that Jackson RR looks good man. He has seen the light.....

that wiki stuff was written by TTR tele lovere ( you know who you are) lol

Let me clarify something.

All this tele talk love/hate is for fun, I never :poo: on anyone's choice of guitar. it can be Tele ,lp, or broom, as long as you are happy that's all it matters. Even tho I don't like Tele, like @Metal89 said I'm happy when someone gets a new guitar and I'm exited for them as getting new guitar is exiting thing. If we all liked the same thing, this world would be boring. When I say something's in response to tele thing it's all with laughter and jokes... ( no personal attack is intended)

You play what makes you happy, and I'll play what makes me happy. I enjoy this tele talk thing, and I'm getting good laughter out of it, and I hope you are too.

That been said now go make some noise !
