Thanks to brother @Far Rider I have this on order:

It will be Black with off-white graphics.

several years ago i saw a crate rig of that time - areal one, not a dummy - slightly smaller head, only 2 power tubes, i.e. about 50W on a 412 cab like the above.

Guess where?

In a small shop specialized on race bikes!

The rig belonged to the owner of that shop...

I've been diligently looking for that head ever since. Some day I'll find one, and I won't pass it up. If you know the shop and would like to pass along the details, I'd pursue it.

Well the owner of that shop (in Bonn, btw,) has retired. Unfortunately; it was a great source of used racebike parts, specifically Campagnolo.

I thought about that a lot actually. Considering the head that got away was empty and I was going to build one anyways.

Channel A is more or less standard with a Fender tonestack. Well, not so standard are te optical limiters of the stages.

Addition: Channel B is pretty peculiar and should define the charakter of that amp, while the power stage should be easily replaced by a more powerful one, e.g. 4 El34.

The opticals are the switching circuit IIRC. That's their typical V series schematic.

New Plate Day:

Yesterday in the mail, the new input plate arrived. So today, I checked it out on the cab and then drilled out the holes. One more step and it's 100% complete.

Obviously the original on the left:

And all drilled out ready for reinstallation. I'll have to use the other plate as a backer since the new plate metal is pretty thin.:

All Finished up with the cab restoration. Not gonna lie. I spent more than a few minutes just sitting and looking them over.
