Bias - need more help

I am. I have a Helix right now. I also had a Kemper, but it's effects are very limited. If I had nothing right now I'd buy an AXE-FX III. I may buy one anyway and see if I like it
better than the Helix. The cool thing about the Kemper was the fact the all the amps out there for it are actual real amps that people modeled through the unit. So if there
is a Dumble model a real Dumble was hooked up to the Kemper and modeled! I guess I could have run pedals through the Kemper, but it was just too much for me at that time.

The Helix has a massive amount of patches made with damn near every amp I'm interested in modeled. However I'm still not sure it's the right fit for me...
I really want to try an AXE-FX III, but the money is not in hand for me right now. I think they are going for around $2600???
A whole new world of possibilities!! Did you get a powered or un-powered Kemper?

So I have been emailing with Nik from Ceriartone. Very good customer service, I must say. They did build my amp. Here are some excerpts from the emails in case anyone is interested:

I did test an OTS20 today. In clean channel with Vol and MV set to full, there was no squeal. It tends to do it in OD channel, esp if gain set a bit high....the pedal is causing that, most likely. I was talking about with no pedal in. But yeah, if you bring the controls down a bit, it'd be fine I think, with the pedal.

You need to use a multimeter, using millivolts range, in DC. Any simple meter will do. Bias probe might not give correct reading, as the bias socket has 1R to ground, from cathode of tube.

Between Nik fom Ceriatone and this fellow below, I am getting the hang of this amp. I think I must accept that it is not intended for high headroom or high gain, but at lower volumes, it has a sweet tone that is hard to beat. It will serve my purposes well on most nights of low volume playing
