I tried this Octal Eurotubes Probe, but I couldn't get a reading. i am a tube amp moronWell...you’re still typing...so....ok.

Or.... it can be a new beginningRay, please be careful! You do not want to get hung up on any high voltage in an amp, it will not let you go! 120V AC is just a little zap and I have never seen anyone hung up on that, but higher voltages both AC and DC will end you...
No reading at all?I tried this Octal Eurotubes Probe, but I couldn't get a reading. i am a tube amp moron
Yes, but look what I found on the Eurotubes siteNo reading at all?
Meter set to DC volts?
I have thought about it. Maybe I will get one and keep my old gear until I decide if it is for me. Is that what you are using?I really think Ray should try a modelling rig. If you don't think they are viable then read this...Mark Knopfler is a convert.

I did a Dumble type tone. Mild breakup and kind of "throaty", with a soft low end and the highs rolled offTell me, Ray...which guitarist has a live sound that you really dig???
I have been thinking of that - "More pedals, more problems"I think Ray should bypass all that stuff,
plug one of the guitars straight into
one of his many excellent sounding
amplifiers and have some fun.
Just you, the guitar and the amp Ray.
(Do what I say, not what I do...")

Yes, this is correct. Elaborate on those readings you are seeing, please.Yes, but look what I found on the Eurotubes site
Our probes measure directly in DC Milliamps so you will need to set your multimeter to the DCA mode (DC Amps, NOT VOLTS!) and if the meter is not auto sensing then select the 200mA scale
Ceriatone states you should read in mV when connecting to the resisters. I get the right reading that way. When I checked via probe on mV, I get "OL" (or something like that) on the screen. I did not try to test in mA with the probeYes, this is correct. Elaborate on those readings you are seeing, please.
Yes, switch the meter to the mA mode and you should get very similar numbers compared to measuring around those 1 ohm bias resistors.Ceriatone states you should read in mV when connecting to the resisters. I do, every now and then! I would not recommend this if you still want to make babies...That is just WAY too much gear for most of us home players. I'm sure almost no one here can get a Marshall
cranked to it's sweet spot in their home playing area...
