ok I may have found a new contender for my favorite. I have been swapping one particular pedal lately in rotation on my board while keeping the rest the same. My Lovepedal Jubilee has been my favorite since getting it. I just got this in today and if I really wanted to I could remove the Jubilee from my board. The Jubilee has a little more mids depending on how the Odessa is toggled and provides another flavor so it won't go anywhere either.
This is a Mojo Hand Fx Odessa. The 1st stage is a Magpie & the 2nd stage is Rook. Both channels are completely separate and are stackable at the same time. This rotation started off from a Ibanez OD-9 Pro+ but using Ibanez amps with them built in makes no sense to me so it started there and went to a SHOD Deluxe to a TIM to a La Grange to a Mythical OD to this Odessa. The 1 thing it doesn't do that most of those other pedals besides the OD-9 is give you an unwanted volume boost. Especially the Mythical. I could turn that almost all the way down and still get boosted. The Odessa transitions smoothly and the volume and gain really work all the way thru the dial.
The real part I like is the Magpie! Suppose to be a TS type with gain stage options & less mid boost. I got it because I really wanted to try a Rook out but the Magpie side really impressed me. Works great stacked with either the Rook or Jubliee and something the others didn't do well at all was work good after my TB Supa clone. Kick the Magpie on after and it doesn't turn into mush, very articulate box (string definition). I'll be keeping this box!
