Best Adhesive For Nut Installation:

Brass was the material originally used by Gibson for their Zero nut. It established grooves and buzzed very quickly. This happened to me. As a result, Gibson sent titanium nut replacements out for free.

I think Ti is about the perfect nut material, but difficult to work from scratch.

The non lubricated tusq nut is a bit more durable. Doesnt have the PTFE though. They're also harder to find seems like everything is PTFE anymore

Watch Yngwie use his stock Fender 6 screw tremolo and comes back to.pitch everything.

Yngwie's tech wraps the low E from bottom to top in order to improve string angle through the nut.

Brass, IMHO, is the best nut material of all. I've read articles where ot was stated that Gibson used 'ornamental, craft-grade' brass for their nuts instead of Marine grade brass.

Naval brass is the classic high-strength and corrosion-resistant alloy containing 60 percent copper, 75 percent tin and 39.2 percent zinc.

I've seen Stratocasters from the 1960's with perfect nut slots with zero grooving.
