Attention Vette Lovers

Some are already here..
Some of the new C8 Vettes? I just saw one last weekend with the Z51 package. Mrs. Wav told me "Hey look at that!" as it drove by. It was all I could do to keep from stepping on my drool soaked tounge. I told here what it was and she told me that she knew I would like it when she saw it.

One of my co-workers just told me that his car died on the way in, his engine blew. I asked him what kind of car it was and he answered "Ford Exploder, but it had a long fuse."

Chevrolet’s new LT4 supercharged engine. Ironically, one other member on Corvette Forum had experience an engine failure at the ripe old odometer age of 891 miles. Although, there IS video evidence…provided by himself, of him flogging his Z06 before a proper break-in quite thoroughly (Video posted below.)

So in the case of this Vette owner red lining it before it was even broken in... Stupid is as stupid does.

As far as the new Vette losing an engine after only 6 miles, I wonder about the test drive the porter took when detailing it and giving it a PDI. I know how I tested new cars when I was young and first started wrenching at the dealership. My motto was "It's not my car."

Here is another Vette with a truck engine... 454 Cu. In.

My neighbor has a 2018 Corvette and he flipped when i pointed out engine parts embossed 'Made In China.'

LS1 failures are common and always justified by the GM guys. Powdered metal connecting rods fail regularly. You Tube videos on the subject abound.

We redlined lots of new Porsche's and Lamborghini's at the dealer during PDI without any issues.

And GM blames the oil...

Its funny to me that GM copies what the Italians have been doing for over a quarter century and suddenly its a new concept.

I have read about the Isle of man
races and how dangerous they are, but I will not ride on the street with the numskell drivers and my foolish antics.
