I used to talk a lot ….Fear not Ramo. Pretty sure your acct is safe.
Besides. You’re the AmThrashador of Chugz. (1) You’re sitting on about 7000 posts. Betting that grandfathers you in as a permanent fixture here. (2) The rest of us wouldn’t allow you to be deleted.

I believe there are plenty of spambots that sign up…but there are also plenty of people that land here on quests for knowledge. Either they want to see a pic posted, or they’re looking for some tech info for a project/repair. When they’re freshly signed up, seeing their recent activity is pretty easy…often they’re viewing threads like an amp repair, or guitar finishing/building/wiring/pickups…they hang out for ten, twenty, minutes and move on.
The spambots are mostly the “one minute wonders” that are often seen. As far as the greeting threads go, I like them. It points out the new sign on characters, and if I click on the name link…I can usually see if they’re behaving like a human.
BAH!! We have a special "no delete" clause for pointy guitar shredders.Im posting so i dont get deleted![]()
I remember this from the turn of the century!Attention all New Members
ALL YOUR BASE BELONG TO US!
So exactly how does one create this sort of script? Asking for a friend.I have a script coded for me to great each new member and to send a birthday greeting to each member that listed their birthdate. That's how I keep my post count up!
It all starts with creating a forum like this. Once you have the foundation built, it's just like modding a guitar. Hack out stuff you don't want and wire in stuff you do want.So exactly how does one create this sort of script? Asking for a friend.![]()
They are like batch files :dood:So exactly how does one create this sort of script? Asking for a friend.![]()
Back in the old days of the 8086/8 processors, I used to write batch files. Fun times. They are like batch files :dood:
some mambo jambo shred for youBAH!! We have a special "no delete" clause for pointy guitar shredders.
Next question would be.... if someone felt like implementing a script, how would one do that? More curious than actually doing it.They are like batch files :dood:
The script file has to be uploaded to the web hosting server. It runs from there.Next question would be.... if someone felt like implementing a script, how would one do that? More curious than actually doing it.
