Never seen one but it looks great,might be able to put Soap Bar P90s in it if ya didnt like those mini Hums. Jever had a guitar with mini hums so it prolly sounds great.

HACK! --- spilled the beans...........got a deal I couldnt pass on ---- I mean chocolate sg with mini hums......dont roll around every day
 
I nearly bought a 2016 SG special but dilly-dallied about, and it was gone - they were going at reasonable prices, but sold out quite quickly; I was gonna put P90s in it like JG suggested. But, these mini buckers sound really nice.

BTW, the 2017 special has humbuckers.

what we really need is a test to see if dark chocolate or caramel is more resonant than Milk Chocolate.......

I suggest all members each-- send me...............8 lbs of chocolate each in assorted "darkness" or cocoa content and i will conduct an extensive 6 month testing program..........

Very nice - hurry up with the HNGD thread!

I suspect it'll be really nice (excluding the finish which I hate on those satin Gibsons because it comes off in clumps...), and the pickups will sound stella.
 
ALl the research Ic an turn up--- and an email TOO Sam Ash which is who was selling them last I heard (there is NO mention of this model ANYWHERE on Gibson.com) unveiled a claim that these where for 1 year--- made for a LARGE Canadian Distributor--- and that they never appeared in the "official Gibson" lineup for 2017
24 frets---Gibson mini hums -- odd little monkey and hard as SHITE to find info on....
