Anybody Else Wake Up Early??

Old?!! I don't think it means you're old. Intelligent people are up early. It means you're self-disciplined and a strong person, a go-getter. Pay no mind to age!
Get what you’re saying. Would agree when one wakes up at 5:00 ready to hit the day head on. But when one hits the sack at say 9:30-10:00 and wakes up 2-3 hours later unable to go back to sleep..... that borders on insomnia. That’s not healthy.

I wake up almost clockwork anywhere from 2-3. Can’t go back to sleep. Sometimes stress of the day. Sometimes stress of the coming day(s). But sometimes I wake up with a song I can’t get out of my head. Lately that’s been Some songs I’ve been working on..... and not just the song, but me playing it. What my left hand is doing as well as my picking hand. Other times I wake up with some obscure one hit wonder from the 60s/70s that I haven’t heard or even thought of in decades. Over and over and over, etc for the next couple hours. It got so funny I started finding You Tube videos of these songs and posting them on FB.

I wake up most mornings around 3:00 AM. I usually lay there for at least a half hour thinking I really should pee. Finally I go pee then I fall asleep right away until my alarm goes off at 6:00 AM. I monitor several servers and networks remotely for local businesses and the morning before they are in the office is the best time for maintenance. By 8:00 AM I am out for my morning walk by the Squamish River.

Good Lord that is beautiful. You're a lucky man.

Im like the dude in Fight Club...not the cool alter ego Tyler Durden, who dresses like he hit all the cool poop at Goodwill and fights random strangers. But the normal personality Ed Norton who never sleeps lol i operate on probably the worst sleep pattern there is and thru the work week, its definitely between 4-6hrs. Weekends? Might sneak an hour or two if im lucky and the kids havent woke me up

Early means different things to different people. I am usually up between 4 and 5, which if you ask my wife is inexcusably early. Most mornings I make coffee and then go for a walk to clear my mind and get the juices flowing.
I've been going for a morning walk for over twenty years. It clears the mind so I start the day fresh. Even when I was working away from home or travelling for holidays I would gofer a walk in the morning.

Weird. Don't know how the double post happened.

Taking a 4-5 mile walk every morning literally saved my sanity during the Covid lockdowns. Also, one of my favorite things to do when we are on vacation is to get up early and take long walks in whatever place we are visiting. It's a great way to get to know a place without people around.

I'm a loner by nature and the lockdowns haven't affected me because we've never stopped working, but I don't mind isolation.

If I go to bed at 9pm, my eyes open at 4:30am. If I go to bed at 2am, my eyes open at 4:30am and I awaken fully charged with zero lag.

I eat two pieces of Dave's Killer Bread "Good Seed" toast with honey and coffee everyday...same thing for over 20 years. I never tire of something I like.

Dave's Killer is true to it's word. Killer tasting bread.
