Any Marshalls and which ones ya got?

Interesting...

I've never had a fizz issue after my tube swaps.
Hi Rob,
I was really wanting to get closer to a bedroom Volume Trowerish Tone … The Bleed Cap Option is just one way to help roll off those highs …… I like the stock Value when I’m Turned up at a Jam though ……The Cool part is The instant Change capability …… I use all three settings at different times …… Here’s a demo vid where a guy did the same thing to a DSL100H …

That's interesting. I've never heard of doing the C19 with a microswitch!!!@!!@!!! How cool is that???

I found that changing the V1 and V4 tubes, to lower gain versions, really changed the amp's tonal character and brought depth to the gain channel.

Perhaps my use of a 55Hz speaker has a little bit to do with it too????

I would have to say all the above, made the changes to your liking, quite well !
Cheers Mitch

My DSL40C is every bit as loud as our lead players 50watt full stack. He says, "I've never heard a combo thump and yet cut through like that..."

But, the response of the WGS Reaper 55Hz also gives the amp a louder voice too and much more headroom...

It certainly does the job it is meant to do!
And without a hiccup, all in a days work!!
Cheers

is this your 4210? I thought or had a 1982 4210 & they turned them into channel switchers?
I got it with the head cab and the combo cab but it was in rough shape.

Nope. Never had a 4210. Just the Canadian 4010.

If anyone is curious l have a thread on the MF listing all of the mods I have done to the 900's. I did a bunch of research on several forums with most of the suggestions coming from Amp Mad Scientist. They are kind of close to an 800 circuit on the preamp side now. No diodes remain in the gain circuit, but I did retain both gain sections. Makes it pretty interesting.

Just gotta LOOK in the rioght place -------
45.00-- craigslist deal--

Valvestate 8020 early 90's era
its stupid good for the $ -----

No Im not gonna play "venues" with it --- but for the House-- its got 80's hair band Marshall tone and CHUG in spades

they sound reeeedICKulously good for what you can find them for

however -- (the Peavey 112 Bandit can get the CHUG-- through a 12 and is a LOT louder) -- however-- I dont really DO LOUD in my little office so -- the Marshall is CHUG A RIFFIC
the poor MESAs have to be attenuated as 30 tube WATTS of Californicated power are just TOO MUCH in "daily noodle levels"

I've kinda got a Marshall. I have a Laney AOR Tube Pro 100. It's essentially a Marshall MV with some mods provided by the factory.
Same here. People need to part with these for less than the price of an innocent soul.
