Funny story on that chord too. Never used it much, but about 20 years ago I was taking lessons from a friend of a friend who was a great guitar player. So we’re through about a dozen lessons, all rock and blues, and he says, “how about a little funk?”. I was like, huh? So he teaches me Stevie Wonder’s Superstition. The signature riffs are a great warm exercise too. But the chorus is simple low register bar chords, A B C B but the turn around chord is the B7 slowly raked. I could not get the B string to ring as I was always touching it. I practiced that progression for months until I could get that B7 to ring clearly across the 5 strings.Ya try hittin that chord comming from any other chord . I never use it enough to get profiecnt at it. When i was a kid my Dad would make me strum rythum while he played lead and i think it was the song Memphis that used that chord. When i got to that chord i would cheat and just use a B 5th style chord and my Dad would either give me a dirty look or stop and we would start over lol. i was only like 9 or 10 years old. So ya Norm me and that chord dont see eye to eye 51 years later.
