Announcing... RiffMasters!

BRAVO!
mexican-dance.gif

A sweeping epic latin theme, by RVM with dynamics a-plenty, all kinds of guitarra, and some lead sections that totally frickin' RIP!!! Dios mío!

First Mexi-submission for the Chapter 10 side hustle and I dunno, that one's gonna be hard to top - Good thing points are automatic! No vote!

@Randy Van Malmsteen earns the full deal, all bonus points... FIFTEEN, for his heartfelt warning about "la bellas latinas." Love the brass, wish it was a bit more prominent in the mix.. but that was bananas man!

Let us all congratulate member @Randy Van Malmsteen who gains access into the
"SuperStar" club as his 15 point Side Hustle gain edges him just over the line.
Did you know reaching SuperStar status automatically earns you a key to the Penthouse?

Truth!

Personally, I have now started in my El Mariachi piece. Gonna be plenty sucky, as the only Spanish I know for sure
was picked up on holidays such as "Banyo" "Cerveza" "Por Favor" and "Muchas Gracias" and "Cuanto cuesta tu hija?"
That last one is a awful, terrible joke. relax people.

It was about this time last year I started serious work on forging a plan for this TTR RiffMasters adventure.

I wanted to create something with variety, surprise, and somewhat inclusive and level playing field for guitar peeps of all skills and genre preferences. A unique event to spark the spirit of musical adventure amongst all invested, but also flexible and inclusive enough to welcome new members along the way.

As we near the close of the final leg, I thank all who continue to watch, to listen and to vote. In particular, all who've contributed via musical submissions.

Each of you have inspired me in different ways and I am very grateful for the time you were able to dedicate to compete, as well as cheer your fellow forumites on.

So what you are saying is, now you proudly walk around in a loincloth

You’re welcome.

So what you are saying is, now you proudly walk around in a loincloth

You’re welcome.

-6 this morning. Time for Well-Hung Tribesman Jethro and me to switch over into Saskatchewan winter coverage. Due to sub-zero temps our loincloths must be down-filled, and luxuriously lined with wolverine fur on the outside. Truth to tell, mine is a few inches longer than it actually needs to be, particularly taking into account the cold-weather shrinkage factor

What is this, the Mexican hat dance..

Guys. I’d love to do the feedback challenge, but I don’t think it wise considering my last neighbor complained about noise. I don’t want the new ones to do the same.
Even though every bone in my body wants to get some massive feedback happening.

Also, mariachi??? REALLY!?!?
I have stretched my limited musical talents during this game. I’ve done folk, jazz, blues, soundtracks, rap, country, western, and every other stunt ive been tasked with. Hell I had a disco thing in the works that I never had the chance to finish.
Now this??? I have my limits. And as a great man once said.

For the feedback challenge I was thinking of going all EVH on it. You know the one. Crank amp to 10. Crank guitar to 10. Lay guitar on floor in front of amp. Walk away for days.

How "metal to the core" of you LOL! Just pre-warn them... Ask when they'll be out! Or get them a dinner gift cert. Probably not worth the single point tho.

I long for the days past when Barbarian Bob was fearless in the face of adversity. :(
