OK my RiffMastery co-competitors! We are a little more than half a day from declaring the official Guitar Duel victor!
Blood is spraying in all directions, various stab wounds and slashes are becoming apparent to the delight of all watching.
@Oldiemurphy seems to be taking more damage but also seems to have more momentum. It's getting real interesting. If you have not yet, please review the "trick bag" submissions a lityle earlier in this thread and go drop your vote today!

Duel between @Mouse and @Oldiemurphy has seemed to not change much over the past twelve hours.
I have guests here and stole a few minutes away to mention here that I will officially announce the points tomorrow, but the poll ends in a few hours, so anyone interested will know how it goes.
I will break with normal protocol to drop the Chapter 8 Side Hustle now, so I don't have to do it late tonight. I love the night life, I got to boogie, but I also need to catch up on Z's for my beauty sleep as my bro-in-law and I have been going kinda hard the past couple nights, he's a bit younger than I and wearing me out!
OK so here we go!
Round 8 Side Hustle
TRANQUILITY BASE
Above, find a relaxing nature scene video. These kinds of things are all over youtube to help folks to wind down after getting fired, defaultin' on a mortgage, catching a partner cheatin', or bustin' off the headstock of a treasured Les Paul. We all need to release our earthly stresses, fondle a crystal, get back to nature from time to time, So, I recommend you plop yourself down right there on the peaceful bank of that gently rolling river, and enjoy a beautiful summer's afternoon. You may find it's like nature’s own spa!
Problem is, it does need a little something/something to complete the whole "relax" effect. What sort of background music do YOU hear?
The Chapter 8 Side Hustle asks you to create a suitably tranquil sort of New Age musical background track for this video.
Minimum TWO MINUTES long.
Maybe it’s some sort of droney hypnotic synth bed. Perhaps for you it’s some sort of reverby ambient psychedelic zone-out.
Could be a rural bluesy delta/Americana something or even some smoov jazz. How about a pretty pastoral fingerpluck’d Wyndam Hill hot tub vibe? Probably gonna be quite different than the heavy duty rock we asked for the Round 8 Main challenge! This now becomes a real test of your versatility as a guitarist, or musician. What will be your approach? What do YOU feel is right to earn the votes?
Yes, that’s right. There will be a community vote on this one. Wow! Two votes in one round? Can you believe it? Awesome! You do NOT have to match/edit the video to the music to submit. But please DO post a link to the above “Ayo Rivah!” video along with
your musical interpretation upload in the same post, if you don’t sync them up together in one file.
The link to the video is there if you wish to download. No bonus points, or extra complications on this challenge.
We can’t risk stressing @LiveeviL2000 more than he’s already experiencing, I can already feel his blood pressure rising rn.
Deadline is ONE DAY BEFORE the Main event challenge deadline. 7PM CST Tuesday August 27th
Participation points for this one are 3 points automatic. But, the vote poll winner gets an extra two points, and there are also one extra point for both second and third places.
This Challenge is REALLY open to interpretation, so I expect we are going to hear some wildly interesting, varied stuff!
Again, any TTR member interested is welcome to join in this musical adventure if you want to take a stab. RiffMasters is about sharing creativity, and motivating ourselves to try new things. I hope you do!

So far we've seen single point trick bag demos by hot doggers @Jethro Rocker (happy Saskatchewan Day brother) and @Aynirar27, both layin' out some wild fretboard pyrotechnics. Gotta ask Dan to go back and take inventory of what you did there for your submission for the final tally.
Then, member @frostyjr2 again wastes little time with her Tranquility Base side hustle entry, laying down a great selection of chill phrases and stress-meltin' easy listenin' toanz! Enjoying that was better than a hot bath and self-medication!

sorry about that. I don't know what is considered a trick and what is just everyday usage so I'll name all the ones I can think of and won't be offended if any are reneged. Maybe it will help come up with an acceptable list
