Announcing... RiffMasters!

I fully expected some ebb and flow. This is more a marathon than a sprint. I myself had a hard time this round, and feel like I sort of phoned it in, but it's all in!
So the Mighty Ku hates KISS? I smell jelly! Sorry you lost your builds tho... sucks!
The time travel is for low points... probably worth it though, if you want to stay in the Penthouse!

Tomorrow night we vote!!!!

I want to say something!!!!

I am starting to develop a complex.
Every time I am about to get comfortable in the penthouse, I find myself on the street the next day.
I’m starting to think @Ku² does not like my company.
Ok. Fine. I haven’t showered in months. And yes I walk around with an undersized loincloth most days. But that’s all to enhance the Barbarian Bob mystique.

Who Done What So Far:
LiveeviL2000 -
earned 1 with his Hellish Muzak - brought "Thoughts of a Male Virgin" for a love scene soundtrack which he also edited.
Clockworkmike - longing for the days when he could earn the easy points via guitar duels, without amps dying and much troubleshooting.
Mitch Pearrow SJMP - Earned 9 and scared the livin' bejeezus out of Aynirar27 in the guitar duel. We await more from this round from Mitch!
Ku² - Evicted TVvoodoo out of the penthouse with a creepy 1 pt. guitar duel of Hellz Muzak, then added "Sexual Recipe" as his love track, edited.
Ibmorjam - Channeled Santana w/ "Video Love," w/ edit, (2), also dropped Hot Place Muzak for (1), time-traveled w/ "Leap Frog" for 3 more
TVvoodoo - Brought a Sexytime video track, and "Eternally" for a Time Travel Hell's Muzak combo (4)
Jethro Rocker - brought us his love soundtrack track entitled "Fingering A Minor" with crackin' SFX
Sapient - brought an airy, aromatic music bed "Winds of Love," (edit + SFX), did the dual sub for duel and time travel with souls descension (3)
SG John - shhhh naptime. He's saving his energy for a big push, last few rounds.
Thatbastarddon - HOOO! ....HAAA! That's the sound of the men, working on the......... chainnnn... gayyy-ay-annnnnng!
Kerry Brown - On hiatus, all fellow TTR members wish him 100% good mojo
jtcnj - Dealing with the hand pain, sending our thoughts
Randy Van Malmsteen - Terrorized TTR, with Love track "To Serve And Connect" edit w/sfx, time traveled "Powdered Water" (2), then his big organ Hellz Muzak "Stipendium Peccati Mors"
Iblive - is thinking about timing on a grand scale, and those songs he learned when bell-bottoms were happenin' and far out, man.
BFT Gibson - is wondering if one can modify a bass amplifier with a 4-barrel carburetor
Aynirar - Made sweet love music "Fran" (sfx + Edit) Time-travelled with "Perineum Sun" (3) and eeked out a duel victory for 18 points

ONLY FIVE RIFFMASTERS ARE SO FAR COMPLETE FOR THIS ROUND, marked above in green.

Looks like to me only eight "Soundtrack of Love" submissions this round so far by
Aynirar, Ibmorjamn, Liveevil, RVM, Sapient, Ku, Jethro, and TVvvoodoo

We all appreciate you being here cheering us on and doing what you can @Mitch Pearrow SJMP

Everyone.... Understand this marks the Halfway Point of RiffMasters marathon.
Coming this Saturday night, after the votes are counted I shall reveal a new challenge and we
begin ramping up for an exciting finish. I expect the lead to change several times, tempers to flare,
gloves to be thrown, and probably some manly bumps and bruises on the way.

What crazy challenge lies behind tile number six? Be here Saturday night to find out, dudes!

I’m recovering from putting all of the sexy jukebox songs through their paces. My wife was there for most of them which was nice, but the show must go on, and some I had to test out as a solo act too. I gotta say, I think I learned a few things about myself in the process.

I’m ready for the next round though. It’s been a hectic couple weeks and I’ve barely touched a guitar aside from the acoustic I keep around the living room. I have lots of riffs welling up in me that need to be discharged before it becomes uncomfortable

No jelly towards KISS. I just think their song compositions are wack af. :ROFLMAO:

On THAT note, here's a few notes on Time Travelers,... I actually had to do math to avoid plot holes, had to rerecord the entire first half again, rerecorded the second half 2x, mixed the songs at least 7x, made Drum Chum to make the youtube-recorded-through my TV surround sound-while-micked-up 6/8 beat fit what I still can not figure out the timing of, (3/4-5/8?), and, kind of winged a lot of the song parts as I was going. (The chorus for Escape From was a happy accident which turned out to be my favorite part of the song). I spent days, from waking 'til sleep working on these and it's still a work in progress. The final mix is still not at the level I'd prefer, but I'm actually burnt out from this one, lol. I need a vacation from the R20... (It almost ended up embedded in my living room wall. It's a bit of a glitchy POS. It has it's Pros, but it's Cons can be overwhelming at times. So bad I actually had to contact ZOOM, which was an utter waste of time, but all that is a story for another time. This TIME is about Time Travelers.

Most stories start at the beginning. This isn't most stories.

Spanning The Accretion/Escape From

Spanning The Accretion

We were stranded somewhere in the mountains,
On a planet we never have been,
There were animals living amongst us,
They were howling along with the wind.

Moving things with their telekinesis,
They were floating like dissident dreams,
There was not one with malice among them,
But they had a desire to feed.

They were probing our hearts and our psyches,
to find out what temperaments we keep,
Some of the crew just couldn't withstand it,
Some among us had broke down to weep.

Oh-

Their cerebral display through the night time,
Contained moments that did not exist,
As we all now had regained composure,
But the lessons at heart were not missed.

They compelled us to not fear our outcome,
As they taught us to meditate deep,
As we sat in a contemplative state,
Once again we all started to weep.

Though this time it was not fear that drove us,
Nor the thought we may never return,
To our loved ones, our planet, our domus,
It was love that overflowed our urn.

Oh-

Some of the men became corybantic,
As we witnessed the state of our world,
All the death and destruction they showed us,
Though we all felt the need to go home.
We all held hands and prayed as they calmed us,
We know now they no not what they do,
As they gifted us Akashic Secrets,
All the known Universe' Truths.

Oh-

They showed us how to escape the Event Horizon with thought alone. Theoretically, we THINK ourselves through TIME/SPACE. According to our calculations, Time Dilation should have already caused 1,287 years to pass since planetfall. We veered off course due to a malfunction in our ship, Benevolent's NAV/COM bringing us to this uncharted planet within the Lenticular Galaxy NGC 1277, within the Perseus SMBH Accretion Disk.

We left Earth on an exploratory mission in 2525. 12.87 days since planetfall, each day, equal to 100 years. According to NAV logs, the ship's NAV/COM course corrected as we lay in Hypersleep during our return leg on 2527.07.23 Sol.

We find ourselves 220 Million Light Years away,
We crossed the span of 63 thousand years in less than a day.

Thought travels faster than the speed of light if you think it does, they explained. At this point, anything seems possible. We instinctively understood what they taught us. We asked them if we will remember. They seemed perplexed by this question.
Under normal FTL propulsion, we wouldn't reach Earth until the year 65527.

We find ourselves 220 Million Light Years away,
We must travel 63 thousand years in less than a day.

1,287 years planetside,...

66,812 years since leaving Earth, relative,...

Somehow,...

We arrived before departing.

RiffMasters were asked to create a suitably sexy background music bed for some titillatin' lovin' footage, and for extra
single points add extra sound (1), and edit the music to the video and upload themselves (1)

Here's the myriad of fun and sexy selections submitted for the Main Event "Soundtrack of Love" challenge.

In order of submission:

The Nanny

Video Love

Thoughts of a Male Virgin

To Serve And Connect

The Winds of Love

Sexual Recipe

Fingering A Minor

SexyTime

All of the above submitted their own edits and sound FX so 2 bonus points will add to a minimum five base participation
points as well. However, three of the above will also earn additional honor and points according to the community poll vote found
>>>>HERE <<<<

A Minimum 3 votes must be cast, maximum seven, for the 48 hour voting period. Vote only once.

ALL TTR COMMUNITY MEMBERS ARE INVITED AND ENCOURAGED TO REVIEW WHAT OUR

In the even of a tie, the earlier submission bumps the later one down a spot.

You forgot Time Travelers on mine,... or did that not happen yet?

@Ku² ... timing! It'll make the list I'm doing up tonight.

By the way, I'm not reviewing submissions with detail that come so close to a vote so I don't colour the vote at all, but "floating like dissident dreams" is such a killer lyric it could be a whole new song. Epic piece, high relisten value (if you have the time LOL!) I hear something new each time. Probably the hardest work so far for 3 full points.

@Jethro Rocker your Hell's Muzak gargoyles piece was spooky, creative and nicely crafted as well for a single.

Get those votes in. NEW main challenge comin' right at you tomorrow night, another fun duel coming too!
